Maintenance
We guarantee our bronze sculptures for 5000 years, but to keep them looking good, outdoor sculpture needs to be cleaned and waxed. Wind and weather take their toll on patinas, so do road salt and acid rain. It is a good idea to clean and wax them every couple of years to maintain their looks.

The football relief on the north end of Kinnick Stadium was sprayed with road salt one winter and left to corrode for several more months, Many applications of a flour, vinegar and salt poultice plus frequent power washing got it to the point where it could be re-patinaed and waxed.
